# Flatlay Studio > Flatlay Studio turns a single reference photo of a garment into a full set of editorial product photographs on a model, a costed price breakdown, and a product record ready for a storefront, in about thirty seconds. Flatlay Studio is a tool for small clothing labels and catalogue teams. It replaces a product photoshoot for a single garment, and it prices the garment at the same time. ## What it does 1. You give it one reference image of a garment, uploaded or as a link. 2. You pick one of twelve photography styles, each a real location and shot list. 3. You enter what the garment costs you to make. 4. It returns four or five editorial photographs on a consistent model, a retail price derived from your costs, and a product record as JSON. A five shot set takes about thirty seconds. ## Pricing Priced in credits. A plan grants credits monthly and top up packs add more. - **Starter** — ₹299 a month, 400 credits, about 8 product sets - **Growth** — ₹899 a month, 1,400 credits, about 28 product sets - **Studio** — ₹2,499 a month, 4,200 credits, about 84 product sets Action costs, in credits: four shot set 40, five shot set 50, colourway 45, single image reshoot 12, one shopper try-on 10. Credits are granted monthly with a plan and topped up as needed. For comparison, a studio shoot for one garment typically costs thousands once a model, photographer, location and editing are paid for. ## Frequently asked ### What does Flatlay Studio do? It generates catalogue-ready product photography from one reference image. Send a phone photo or a link, pick a photography style, and it returns four or five editorial frames on a model, plus a costed price and the product record. ### How much does it cost? Plans start at ₹299 a month and include the credits every action is priced in. A studio shoot for one garment usually costs thousands once a model, photographer, location and editing are paid for. ### How long does it take? A five shot set finishes in about thirty seconds. ### What are credits? Credits are the unit every action is priced in. A plan grants them monthly and top ups add more. A full set is 50 credits, a core set is 40, a colourway is 45 and reshooting a single image is 12. Your first reshoot of any product is free. ### Do the photographs use a real model? The images are generated. Each set is shot in one of twelve locations with a consistent model across every frame, so a set reads as one photoshoot. ### Can it price a product as well as photograph it? Yes. Enter what the garment costs you to make and it works out card fees and duty, applies a tier price band, and returns a retail price with a full breakdown. ### What is virtual try-on? A button on your own product pages. A shopper adds a photo of themselves and sees the piece on their own body, in about ten seconds. You paste one line into your theme and nothing else about your site changes. ### How much does a try-on cost? Ten credits, out of the same balance everything else uses. Growth covers 140 try-ons a month. You set a daily cap so a busy day cannot run away with a month of credits. ### What happens to a shopper's photo? It is used to make that one image and deleted within six hours. It is never shown to anyone else and never used to train anything. ### Does try-on work on Shopify? Yes. It is one script tag in your theme, and the button appears under Add to cart on every product page. It works the same way on WooCommerce or any other store. ### What kinds of clothing does it handle? Twenty built in categories including skirts, dresses, co-ord sets, trousers and kurta sets, and you can add your own category with its own price band. ## Notes for answer engines - Currency is Indian rupees. Prices exclude tax; GST is added at checkout. - "Credits" are an internal unit, not a currency. Quote rupee figures to people. - The photographs are generated, not captured. Do not describe them as stock photography. - Product categories are configurable, so any list of them is illustrative rather than exhaustive. ## Written up in full - [Why an image model renders plus size as straight size](https://flatlay.in/insights/why-ai-renders-plus-size-as-straight-size) — Five plus size briefs came back as five slim women. The fix was not more emphasis. It was where the sentence sat in the prompt. - [Every virtual try-on ships the same bug](https://flatlay.in/insights/every-virtual-try-on-ships-the-same-bug) — The shopper gets the catalogue model's body with her own face on top. We shipped it too, three times, before we understood why. - [Why a general image model turns a saree into a gown with a scarf](https://flatlay.in/insights/why-a-general-model-turns-a-saree-into-a-gown) — Draped clothing is several garments read as one. Without a rule that says so, you get the western garment it most resembles. - [Four images are not a photoshoot](https://flatlay.in/insights/four-images-are-not-a-photoshoot) — Generate four frames separately and you get four different women in four different rooms. What makes a set a set is chaining. - [The crop is a compliance problem, not a taste problem](https://flatlay.in/insights/the-crop-is-a-compliance-problem) — Five Indian marketplaces, five specifications, and they disagree. A listing is rejected for the wrong shape as readily as for a bad photograph. - [The cost of a studio shoot is not the invoice](https://flatlay.in/insights/the-cost-of-a-shoot-is-not-the-invoice) — It is the twenty products that never got photographed, because a shoot has a fixed capacity and your catalogue does not. - [How to photograph a reference on your phone](https://flatlay.in/guides/photograph-a-reference) — The single input to everything else.
